Update to the Child Abuse Reporting Protocol and FAQs

MSU announced updates to the reporting protocol for child abuse and other harm to children.

Guidance on MSU Youth Programming During Summer and Fall 2021

After a careful review of the state of the COVID-19 pandemic, the availability of campus support and resources for mitigating and responding to COVID-19 transmission, and the implications both for the campus and surrounding communities, a team of campus safety experts and department leaders has developed guidance for MSU youth programming for Summer and Fall 2021.

MSU Youth Safety Portal Now Live for MSU Youth Program Leaders

The MSU Youth Safety Portal is now available for MSU youth program leaders to register their programs with the University and manage their programs' compliance with MSU operational requirements.

Exception Process for In-person Programming

As announced on August 24, MSU youth programs, as defined by the MSU Youth Programs policy, are recommended to not occur in-person on the MSU campus, at satellite MSU venues, or off-campus until further notice. MSU youth programs may continue to operate through remote and/or online instruction. MSU youth and pre-college programs seeking to operate in-person will have the opportunity to request an exception.

Remote Programming Until Further Notice

It is recommended university-sponsored youth programs not occur in-person on the MSU campus, at satellite MSU venues or off campus until further notice. MSU youth programs may continue to operate through remote and/or online instruction. Information about exceptions will be released in mid-September
