Purpose
In response to evolving standards and best practices for youth protection, the Operational Requirements for Conducting University Youth Programs was updated in July 2018. This program for MSU Youth Program Directors and Coordinators will provide an overview of the revisions to the policy and advice on aligning with the revisions from MSU Youth Program directors and coordinators who have already adjusted their programs to comply with the new policy requirements.
Advanced registration is required by Tuesday, October 2.
Intended Audience
While this development program is intended for MSU Youth Program Directors and Coordinators, Assistant Directors and Assistant Coordinators are also welcome to attend.
Outcomes
As a result of attending this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify updates to the MSU Youth Programs Policy
- Identify areas requiring attention to comply with the updated policy requirements
- Model practices demonstrated by youth program directors who have adjusted their programs to comply with updated policy requirements
- Utilize the relevant templates and tools available to aid with youth programs' compliance
- Adapt their youth programs to comply with the updated policy requirements
- Address questions with campus experts
