Orientation for New MSU Youth Program Directors and Coordinators

Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Purpose

This session will provide new MSU Youth Program Directors and Coordinators an introduction to the Operational Requirements for Conducting University Youth Programs and the tools, materials, and campus resources available to support their endeavors to provide a safe environment for minors in their care.

 

Outcomes

After attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify key areas of concern for creating a safe learning environment for MSU Youth Program participants;
  • Identify the requirements for conducting University Youth Programs;
  • Locate materials available for complying with the Operational Requirements for Conducting University Youth Programs; and
  • Address their questions with the Director of the MSU Youth Programs: Registration, Safety Assurance, and Education program.

 

Advanced registration is required by Wednesday, March 13.

Intended Audience

This session is intended for MSU Youth Program Directors and Coordinators who are new to their role or in need of an introduction to the requirements for conducting youth programs at MSU. While this development program is intended for MSU Youth Program Directors and Coordinators, Assistant Directors, Assistant Coordinators, and those who supervise Youth Program Directors and Coordinators are also welcome to attend. 

 

Light refreshments will be provided.
