While this program is intended for Youth Program Directors and Coordinators, individuals who supervise MSU Youth Program Directors are also welcome to attend.
This train-the-trainer program is designed for MSU Youth Program Directors and Coordinators to be able to effectively and consistently train youth program staff and volunteers on topics related to child maltreatment, relationship violence, sexual misconduct, and violations of the Anti-Discrimination Policy. As a result of participating in this training, Youth Program Directors and Coordinators will be provided with centrally-created materials and information to train their staff and volunteers on how to respond, report, and provide support for their program participants following an incident or disclosure. Please note that attending the entire program is required in order to receive the central training materials.
At the close of this training, participants will be able to:
• Utilize centrally-created training materials;
• Train youth program personnel to respond to incidents and disclosures;
• Train youth program personnel to report incidents and disclosures;
• Train youth program personnel to provide support for survivors who disclose concerns; and
• Address questions with campus experts.
