Come to the Pre-College Programs Showcase event and listen to short talks from a number of MSU pre-college program leaders. Following the presentations, there will be a networking opportunity to ask questions, speak to individual presenters, and discuss potential areas for collaboration.
Workshop participants will develop knowledge and skills to become a better ally to LGBTQ youth on campus. This session will provide effective training tools that empower program leaders to ensure that all Pre-college youth have access to meaningful educational experiences, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.
The Prevention, Outreach, and Education Department and the MSU Youth Programs: Registration, Safety Assurance, and Education Program hosting the Strengthening Safety training program. This program will support Youth Program Directors and Coordinators in their efforts to effectively and consistently prepare their program staff and volunteers to appropriately respond, report, and provide support in instances of disclosed or suspected child maltreatment, relationship violence, sexual misconduct, and violations of the Anti-Discrimination Policy.
This is a three-part certification program that will support MSU youth program leaders' efforts to create equitable learning environments for MSU youth program participants.

Thank you for your interest in attending the 2020 Youth Protection Workshop. In the interest of health and safety, and following guidelines on institutional large events, the 2020 Youth Protection Workshop scheduled for March 19 is canceled. However, we plan to host this event on a later date after it has been determined safe to gather as a large group. In the coming weeks, arrangements will be made to reschedule this event, and once plans have been finalized, details and an updated registration form will be announced. Please direct any questions to David Chupak at chupakda@msu.edu.
The 2020 Youth Protection Workshop will feature discussions, activities, and presentations with campus experts on topics related to bullying and cyberbullying in University youth programs and activities.
